Key Responsibilities
- Technical Capabilities
- General office support to the team / service area, where required
- Order office supplies and staff amenities
- Undertake continued professional development
- Attend management and staff meetings, take minutes and provide correspondence from previous meetings, where applicable
- Perform and complete any reasonable duties relevant to the position as requested by the Manager / Executive Director of Health and Ageing
- Be responsible for the on-going administration and support of Health and Ageing reporting systems

- Demonstrate commitment to the Corporations values and behaviours – serve the community, work together, act with integrity and respect other people
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients, community and Njernda staff and team members
- Administrative Capabilities
- Attend staff meetings
- Participate in service training programs as organised by Njernda and / or any other training to upgrade skills
- Ensure that all statistical data / record-keeping and other documentation are completed and forwarded on time
- Follow correct policy and procedure directions at all times
- Provide technical and organisational support to all of Health and Ageing funding contracts that include but not limited to:
- MCCC
- RVTS
- Allied Health invoicing/agreements
- Communicare Administrative support for all Health and Ageing staff
- ITC administrative support (including financial requirements)
- Other invoicing where required
- Mandatory Requirements
- Observe the safe working practices, as far as you are able, protect your own and others’ health and safety.
- Participate in on-going training when necessary
- Act at all times in a professional manner in accordance with the policies and practices of the Njernda Aboriginal Corporation
- All Njernda Aboriginal Corporation employees must comply with the code of conduct as articulated in the Njernda Aboriginal Corporation Policies and Procedures
Key Selection Criteria
- An Understanding of and commitment to the Aboriginal Community
Experience in:
- Excellent administration and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
- Well-developed computer skills with a good knowledge of Microsoft Word, excel and Power Point
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- The ability to work in a team environment
- The demonstrated use, administration, and support of an electronic patient information management within a windows environment
- Demonstrated skills in preparation of reports, policies, procedures, and manuals
- A demonstrated understanding of finance management and bookkeeping processes
Qualifications and Experience
Desirable but not mandatory
Relevant tertiary experience or qualifications in leadership or the ability to undertake training.
Mandatory Requirements
- Current criminal record screening.
- Current Working with Children Check.
