Key Responsibilities
To ensure the general cleanliness of all office and general areas of the Medical Centre which includes but is not limited to:
- Cleaning all the toilets
- Mopping the general and kitchen areas
- Vacuum office areas
- Empty bins excluding any surgery rubbish
- Ensure the benches in the surgery and kitchen areas are clean.
- Cleaning of windows
- To be fully aware of infection control policies and procedures in relation to cleaning of patient areas.
- Liaise with the office manager on the ordering of cleaning materials and equipment to pass to the caretaker.
- Attend and participate in general staff meetings as required.
- To act at all times in a professional manner in accordance with the policies and practices of the Njernda Aboriginal Corporation.
- Undertake other duties. Which are incidental and peripheral to the main tasks, provided that such duties are reasonable within the employee’s competence and training.
Key Selection Criteria
- An understanding and commitment to Aboriginal culture.
- An understanding of the basic safety requirements of cleaning materials.
- Experience as a cleaner in a commercial environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Other relevant information
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo satisfactory pre-employment checks, including providing at least two professional referees, completion of a medical declaration, Police Records Check, Working With Children Check, Victorian Driver’s License, and proof of identify and qualifications
