Njernda Aboriginal Corporation is seeking an Aboriginal Family Preservation and Reunification Response Practitioner to support Aboriginal families who are involved with, or at risk of involvement with, Child Protection. This role plays a vital part in helping children remain safely with their families wherever possible, and supporting reunification when children have been removed from their home.
Working as part of a dedicated and supportive team, the role focuses on intensive, strengths-based and trauma-informed casework that recognises the importance of culture, healing and connection. You will work closely with families, children, carers and partner agencies to build parenting capacity, strengthen family relationships and achieve lasting, positive change for Aboriginal families and communities.
Please note, late applications will not be accepted.
About the role
- Provide outreach and intensive case management support to Aboriginal families

About you
- Qualifications or experience in social work, community services, psychology or a related field
- Strong understanding of issues impacting Aboriginal families, children and young people
- Experience in case management, family support and working with vulnerable families
