Our Board
Njernda is governed by a community-elected Board of Directors, made up of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are members of the organisation. Board members bring a range of lived experience and professional skills in areas such as health, governance, finance, education, and community development.
The Board meets regularly to review strategy, approve budgets, monitor risk and performance, and ensure that Njernda remains accountable to its members and community. Board members are elected for fixed terms, and must uphold the values of the organisation at all times.
Our governance structure ensures that leadership remains in Aboriginal hands, and that decision-making is rooted in community, culture and care.
