Our Organisation
Njernda Aboriginal Corporation is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation, led by Community, for Community.
We are proud to serve the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community of Echuca and surrounding areas.
We are here to strengthen, support and celebrate our culture, our families and our future. From health and wellbeing to family services, community programs and cultural connection — everything we do is guided by self-determination and led by the voices of our community.
Njernda is governed by a community-elected Board of Directors who provide strong cultural leadership and strategic direction to our Chief Exectutive Officer and Executive Directors.
We prioritise delivery of programs and services by dedicated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, supported by skilled professionals across health, wellbeing, family, early years, and community services.
As an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO), our structure ensures that decisions are made by and for our community — with cultural safety, self-determination and accountability at the heart of everything we do.
