The Baroona Youth Healing Centre is undergoing an exciting redevelopment, and Njernda is seeking a skilled and passionate Manager to guide this next chapter. 

This role oversees the day-to-day operations of Baroona, ensuring young people are supported in their healing journey through safe, culturally grounded, and holistic programs.

As Manager, you will provide leadership to staff, coordinate services and programs, and work closely with community, government, and sector partners to deliver strong outcomes for Aboriginal young people.

Please note, this is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander identified position.

About the role

In this role, you will:



• Lead the redevelopment and oversee day-to-day operations of Baroona
• Manage and mentor Residential Support Workers with clear guidance and support
• Coordinate admissions, exits, and individualised Care Plans for participants
• Build strong partnerships with services, agencies, and community stakeholders
• Oversee budgets, rosters, reporting, and compliance requirements

About you

• Qualifications in Management, Social Work, Community Services, AOD or Mental Health
• Experience leading programs and staff in youth, community, or health services
• Skilled in care planning, advocacy, crisis response, and service coordination
• Deep understanding of Aboriginal culture and the impacts of trauma
• Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
