Njernda Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a Female Dual Diagnosis Worker to deliver culturally safe, integrated and trauma‑informed care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women experiencing co‑occurring mental health and alcohol and other drug (AOD) issues.



This role works within an intensive case management model, supporting women, families and community through holistic, strengths‑based approaches that promote social and emotional wellbeing, healing and connection to culture.


About the role

As our Female Dual Diagnosis Worker, you will provide culturally appropriate assessment, care planning and case management for women experiencing dual diagnosis concerns.

You will work across mental health, AOD, suicide prevention and community services, ensuring coordinated, integrated care that supports women to engage with clinical and wrap‑around supports.


This role is ideal for candidates with experience in:


  • Mental health and alcohol and other drug service delivery
  • Trauma‑informed, culturally safe practice
  • Case management and coordinated care models
  • Aboriginal community‑controlled health services
  • Working respectfully with women, families and community


You will play a key role in improving wellbeing outcomes by strengthening access, continuity of care and culturally grounded supports.



About you

  • Relevant qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health, AOD, Community Services, or related field experience in a similar role
  • Strong commitment to culturally safe, Aboriginal‑led practice
  • Demonstrated experience working with women experiencing mental health and AOD issues
