Are you passionate about early childhood development and supporting Aboriginal families to grow strong through culture and connection?
Njernda Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a warm, organised, and culturally aware Playgroup Facilitator to lead our Yarka Yaka Daya Koorie Supported Playgroups.
Based at Berrimba in Echuca, this part-time role provides a safe, nurturing, and culturally rich environment where parents and children can play, learn, and thrive together.
About the role
In this role, you will:
- Plan and deliver culturally appropriate playgroup sessions that support children’s early development
- Build strong relationships with families and support them to grow confidence in their parenting
- Collaborate with Elders, health services, schools, and support networks to enrich children’s experiences
- Provide families with information, referrals, and encouragement to connect with community supports
- Ensure safe and welcoming environments both onsite and during excursions and bus transport
About you
- Certificate III, Diploma, or Bachelor in Early Childhood (or working towards)
- Strong understanding of child development and culturally safe family engagement
- Experience in an early childhood, playgroup, or family support setting
- Able to plan, observe, and reflect on learning and development with families
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
- WWCC, Police Check, driver’s licence, and food safety qualifications required
