Be the welcoming face of Njernda Corporate Services


Njernda Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a professional and culturally respectful Receptionist to support the Corporate Services team.


As the first point of contact for community members, staff, Elders, visitors and partners arriving at Corporate Services, you will play an important role in creating a warm, organised, and welcoming environment.


This position manages reception operations, provides administrative support, and ensures enquiries, visitors, mail and office activities are handled efficiently and respectfully.


The role contributes to the smooth running of Corporate Services and upholds Njernda’s values of respect, accountability, cultural sensitivity and community care.

About the role

  • Provide a positive, culturally respectful front-of-house experience for all visitors and callers
  • Manage phone calls, visitor sign-in, mail, boardroom bookings, office supplies and daily reception tasks
  • Maintain clean, safe, culturally welcoming reception and waiting areas
  • Provide administrative support including filing, scanning, data entry, scheduling and document preparation
  • Support coordination of maintenance, fleet vehicles, Board meetings, events, and Corporate Services activities

About you

  • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identity is essential
  •  Certificate III or higher in Business/Office Administration or related field
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with sensitivity when supporting Aboriginal community members
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and common office systems (phones, scanning, lamination etc.)
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise tasks and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar reception or administration role
