Aboriginal Child Well-Being Practitioner (Identified)

- Reports To:Family Services Manager/ The Orange Door Team Leader
- Hours:Full Time - 37.5hrs per week

- Position Scope:
The Orange Door is a government response to the Royal Commission into Family Violence with the view to coordinate services and to become a one stop shop front for family violence matters. The Orange Door will deliver a fundamental change to the way that the community service sector works with families, women, and children.
The Orange Door Team will include a mix of staff employed by FSV and staff employed by CSOs, Aboriginal services and DHHS.
The Aboriginal Hub Practitioner will be part of two teams – The Orange Door Team and the Njernda Family Services Team.
The role of The Orange Door is to provide:
- a more visible contact point so that people know where to go for specialist support.
- help for people to identify child and family safety and wellbeing issues.
- advice based on contemporary risk assessment tools and guidance and best available information.
- specialist support and tailored advice for families and children.
- connection and coordination of access to support
- an approach across the spectrum of prevention, early intervention, and response
- a system-wide view of service capacity, client experience and outcomes.
Aboriginal Unborn Boori and Gana Worker (Identified)
- Base/Location:Njernda Family Services Unit, 103-107 Hare Street, Echuca
- Reports To:Family Services- Manager
- Hours:Full Time position 37.5 hours per week.
- Award:SCHADS Level 4
- Position Scope:
To provide pre-birth and early years therapeutic support to expectant mothers and families. The case worker will build strong professional relationships to enhance developmental outcomes for Aboriginal Boori aged 0-2 years.
