Njernda’s Local Justice Worker is here to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adults who are involved with the justice system.
Whether you’re completing a Community Corrections Order, have outstanding fines, or are transitioning back into community after time in custody, you don’t have to go through it alone.
We understand that navigating the justice system can be stressful and confusing and – we’re here to stand with you along the way to help you:
- Understand and meet the conditions of your Community Corrections Order
- Manage fines, warrants or court-related matters
- Advocate for yourself and stay connected with the justice system in a culturally safe way
- Link in with housing, health care, and other Aboriginal support services
- Reconnect with community and culture after being in custody
We work closely with Community Corrections Services, the Sheriff’s Office, Victoria Police, Koori Court and other justice partners to support better outcomes for Mob.
