Walking with families to grow strong together
Njernda’s Family Support services are here to strengthen Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families by providing the support, guidance and culturally safe care needed to keep children safe, families connected, and culture strong.
Whether you're going through a tough time, need help finding safe housing, or want support to reunify with your children, we walk alongside you every step of the way.
Our services are flexible and wrap around the whole family, responding to each family's unique needs and story.
Boori Gana Support Program
Culturally safe support for Aboriginal mothers and their babies, including parenting support, health referrals and home visits. We focus on early bonding, safety and wellbeing in those vital early years.
Integrated Family Supports
Support for families experiencing challenges such as housing stress, financial hardship or parenting concerns. We work with families to build strength, access services, and keep children safe and connected to culture.
Intensive Family Supports
Targeted, one-on-one support for families with complex needs. We offer case management, advocacy and practical help in the home to keep families together and create safe, stable environments for children.
Yakapna Yakaneyepuk – Family Together Program
(Aboriginal Family Preservation and Reunification Response)
This program supports families with children at risk of entering care or in the process of reunification. We walk alongside parents to strengthen family life, reconnect with children, and meet reunification goals always guided by culture.
