Alcohol & Other Drugs Support

Our Drug and Alcohol Worker provides confidential, non-judgmental support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are ready to make a change.

We help you take the next step, your way with:

  • Counselling and support to manage alcohol and drug use
  • Referrals to detox, rehab and behavioural change programs
  • Help with paperwork to access the services you need
  • Support to get a Mental Health Care Plan if you don’t already have one

We have male and female AOD workers, and you can refer yourself or be referred by a GP, other AOD counsellor, support worker or the courts.

Dual Diagnosis Support

Dual diagnosis is when a person is affected by both mental illness and the use of alcohol or drugs.

If you or someone you know is managing both mental health and alcohol or drug challenges, our Dual Diagnosis Worker can provide intensive, one-on-one support to help clients stop or reduce substance use with:

  • Harm minimisation and health education
  • Help to stay connected with services, family and community
  • Limited case load for deep, tailored care
  • Self-referral or professional referral accepted
